Hypothesis:

Belive that top soil will retain heat longer as it is darker in color. Secondly think clay as it is heavier

Materials:

top soil, clay, and sand samples of equal weight.
oven safe containers to heat samples, thermometer for taking temps.

The Procedure:

Will heat equal amount of each sample for the same amount of time.
Take temp. of each sample once removed from the oven and continue to read temps over period of time to see which sample will retain the heat the longest
