Hypothesis:

I don’t have an idea about what will happen.

Materials:

A long thread about 1 meter long. [Very strong thread]
A sauce bottle’s tin lid.

The Procedure:

Pock 2 holes in the center of the lid with about 2mm gap between them. Allow the thread to pass through a hole in the lid. Take any one end of thread and pass it through the other hole. Tie a knot at the end of the free end with both the threads joined together.
Place the lid in the middle. Pass your hand through the thread at the end. In the same way do the other side also. Now rotate the thread quickly in a high speed for about 2mins only on one side .Now take it forward and backward. This has to be performed with utmost caution. This is not easy. But when u practice it is easy. You also have to see to it that the lid does not come in contact with you; it can cause a deep scratch.

Results:

You can see that the thread spins like rubber and that the tin lid rotates at a very high speed. This is because when the thread is rotating the molecules near the thread also rotate.
