Project title:
Egg Floatation
Elementary school
None

Hypothesis:

I think an egg will float in salt water.

Materials:

2 containers
water
salt (5 tablespoons)
spoon
2 eggs

The Procedure:

1.Fill two containers with water.
2. Place 2 tablespoons of salt in one of the containers and stir with a spoon until all of the salt dissolves and is invisable.
3. Place an egg in each container and watch what happens.....

Results:

The egg in fresh water sank to the bottom of the container.
The egg in salt water floated to the top because salt water is denser (thicker) than fresh water so it supports objects more easily.
