Hypothesis:
Adding table salt to boiling water will increase its boiling temp.
Materials:
table Salt, distilled water, 2-quart cooking pot, pint measuring cup, teaspoon and tablespoon measuring spoons, thermometer, stirring spoon
The Procedure:
1. Boil 1 quart of distilled water on a stove.
2. Measure the temp, of boiling water. Record.
3. measure out 1 teaspoon salt using spoon. Level.
4. Add to water and stir; wait to boil
5. Measure the new temp. record.
6. repeat steps 4 & 5 with 2 spoons.
Results:
My hypothesis was right. Table salt increases the temperature a little.
