does music affect a plant's growth?

Project title:
does music affect a plant's growth?
Middle school
None

Hypothesis:

if i expose a plant to rock music, then it will grow taller than a plant exposed to classical music

Materials:

1. 6 plants
2. classical c.d.
3. rock c.d.
4. water
5. c.d. player

The Procedure:

i will have 4 plants in the same spot during the day. Then for the day while i'm at school i will put 2 of them in my room and 2 of them in my sister's room for a week. the ones in my room will listen to classical music and the ones in my sister's room will listen to rock music. the 2 control plants will stay in the same place all day.

Results:

i don't know what the results are because i have not completed my experiment yet.

i'm doing the same project too. i have one more music option though ,i'm using rock ,classical,and r&b.I'm getting crazy results but good ones.so far r&b is the best.DUCES
