How would you like that bagged?

Hypothesis:

Paper is better than plastic for bagging groceries when you go to the store. Paper is stronger and will not rip or tear as easily.

Materials:

Ruler, paper bags, plastic bags, various weights of groceries.

The Procedure:

Weigh 2, 3, 5,and 10 pounds of groceries. Run three trials of each weight in each bag. We will hold them as if we are carrying them to and from our cars, and see what happens to each of the bags to determine which is the better bag for our groceries.

Results:

Papaer bags are better than plastic bags for the weights we used. This is subject to be different in inclement weather conditions or if you have purchased frozen or cold foods because condensation will have an effect on the bags.
