experiment

hi i'm in 9 grade. I was asked to do a science fair project. My topic is do plants grow best in sunlight or artificial light? I need help figuring out how to start this experiment. What materials should i use? What experimental procedure should i follow? All i know right now is that i'm planting 10 bean plants in a small pot

You'll need at least 6 pots of plants - all of the same species/age/size.

Place batches of 3 pots in different 2 rooms at the same temperature. Each room as different lighting conditions...but of the same intensity. you may need a photometer to measure the light intensity to ensure that it's the same - and only the type of light is different.

Give the plants the same amount of water over a period of 2 weeks. Then measure the length of the stalks. Take the average growth for the plants in each room, and you'll have your results.

why not try writing up your experiment in the science projects section?
