Hypothesis:

Will a piece of wire attached to a negative pole of a battery heat up faster than the wire atttached to the positive pole?

Materials:

Wire
Battery
Positeve pole
Negative pole
pie

The Procedure:

Attach a wire to negative pole on a battery.
Attach a wire to a positive pole of a battery.

Results:

Which one heats up?

A wire will heat up only if you complete the circuit - that is if you connect both ends of the wire, one to the positive pole and the other to the negative pole.

So I don't really quite understand the intention of this project. Could you please clarify?
