Project title:
BIOCHEMICAL FOOD TEST-lipid emulsion test
Middle school
None

Hypothesis:

every fatty food contains fats in it.actually fats are a kind of lipids.these are carbon compounds.which are very essential for providing energy.this experiment is to test for this nutrient of food.

Materials:

test tubes
any oil,or any other fod material
ethanol
water

The Procedure:

take 2ml of given food/oil in a test tube.add 2ml of ethanol in the oil.mix it thoroughy till the oil dissolves.now add 2ml of water in the test tube.

Results:

all these compounds react together to give a white precipitate.if the precipiatate appears, then the food we are testing contains lipids(fats)
