Hypothesis:

I feel that the way you dress will affect you in many ways. For example if you have on a coat & tie and speek to the supervisor at a bank, introduce your self and ask for an application you will probably get to fill out the application; however if you have on a hat, a beard growing and dirty clothes I feel like you will not get as far as getting the application. If you are applying for a tire repair shop you will more fit the desciption they are looking for by dressing in dirty old clothes.

Materials:

1.Pictures of a clean dressed person and also 2.Pictures of the same person dressed ragged and dirty.

The Procedure:

Went into the mall dressed very nice to see how many smiles I get from people and how many actually spoke to me. I then went into a clothing store and asked if they might need a part time job opening. The lady said that they sometimes use after school kids.
I thanked her and she proceeded to get my application with a smile of cource. I later went back to the same store dressed with a band around my hair,a hat on and dirty clothes and asked if they were any positions open and the same lady told me that the manager was not in, but I could check back at a later date. Just for the record I did not even get a smile or hand shake.

Results:

If you want to succeed in a well paying job you need to be clean and dressed well. If you would like to work for minimum wage you can dress with poor hygene and work in a tire shop.
