Hypothesis:
magnetic levitation works on the principle of repulsion between the poles.
A levitation train works on this principle.
Materials:
solid iron rod of lenght 12"
26 guage copper wire
card board pieces
junction box
The Procedure:
26 guage copper wire is wound for 400 turns around an iron solid rod of lenght 8",with card boards at the ends of the coils. A ring is placed at the top end of the card board. when the free ends of the wire are connected to the AC mains the ring jumps up.
Results:
the ring did not jump when the free ends of the wire were connected to the AC mains
